How do I get an A in the exam

Hello, I'm trying to get an A on the first exam but it is not working out for me.
Got my exam skill with the right book till 4.0 (even studied math) but after that my skill is "stuck" and he says "There is still lot to learn". Tried to study other books of the same topic but I can't find anything to borrow. Wrote all the right answers down but after the exam he still says "that didn't went well" (fully rested and all). I'm sorry (and ashamed) to ask... what am I missing? Am I destined to disappoint my old lovley aunt Margret?

You can re-read the current study book and get a bigger study bonus on the second run. If you get the exam skill to 10, it's a guaranteed A+ if you answer the questions correctly and don't have any negative modifiers.

I have a question about this, not the exact same situation but, if you have a math exam and your math primary skill is 10, what will be the note you will have?, because with this 10 i wont read the book for the exam (aka dont know the answers)

PS: im enjoying the game, the ironman mode made me the day.

Each wrong answer will lower the exam points by 0.5. So if you answer all the four questions wrong, your exam points will be 8. That will get you an A-, so it's still a very good grade.

Do correct answers add to your score? I suspect not.
