But this does have a lot of text, and wants to build up a relationship between it's two main characters.
It is also a long game, and I have not beaten it yet, but is somewhere in the 50 hour range, and a lot of that is talking. It is not pointless talking, and does not constantly repeat itself, it's just a bit complicated.
It certainly doesn't seem as padded out as something like Yakuza 0, but there is in fact a bit of "kill 50 mooks" and "find 4 temples" so far, here and there. It doesn't strike me as necessary content to clear the game, but I understand finding this kind of simplistic but repetitive content unappealing.
to me, the dialogue was straight forward. Its tedious, mind you. But the dialogue by the characters is quite necessary to know their personality.
u can skip the dialogue if u dont like it, and can just straight up beating enemies.
What I took from it is that this game is still wordy, but not frustratingly so.
I will keep an eye on this one, but am probably just a bit too busy right now to dive into a JRPG.
