Glitch in the mission: The Victor Controls His Opponent

As the title says I've encountered a pretty bad game breaking glitch in the mission. Whenever I go to move towards the final capture point Ueno the game begins the loading screen and gets to 90% loaded. Once there all sound cuts out for a moment and the game refuses to load any further regardless of time spent in the screen. I've already verified my game files, restarted my computer, re-downloaded the game, and finally tried attempting the section in the native Japanese the game defaults to. So far nothing has worked and I am basically softlocked in the section unable to even back out of the encounter.

Is there anyone else who has encountered this specific glitch and if so have you found a work around?
