I'm stunned about how good this game is
i'm not a fate fan, i only watched fate zero, and i was kinda interested in this game because i'm a sucker for anything medieval japan,

i mean one of my fav games is yakuza ishin, i played for about 10 hours and i'm having a blast, the combat is really cool, far from perfect but it is fun, but they really nailed the story, the characters are interesting. the cutscenes are great.

for me the most important thing in a game it's the story, if its a good story i can manage, the soul hackers 2 for example had a really good story and the turn base combat it was ok, but the dungeon design was atrocious, what made me finish the game was really the story,

this game is kinda watching a really cool anime, nothing like demon slayer, or another good shonen but at i dint saw how much time i was playing until i realized i was playing for more than 5 hours haha

i'm trying the jack sparrow version but i'm probably gonna buy it, for those who dont like musou this game has some musou elements but its toned down a bit, i think a fair comparison would be persona 5 strikers. u can see the musou elements but sometimes u forget completely that ur playing one. really guys try for urself, I think ur gonna like it

sorry about my english, not my first language

you should probably watch Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. animated by ufotable, the same studio behind demon slayer. the animation quality is simple amazing and the fights are fun as hell

I would actually advice on holding off watching the 3 heaven's feel movies after you watched UBW or Zero. Because the Heaven's feel route is designed to be hard to stomach and also needs a bit of understanding of the general going on's with the characters.
Do note: Fate/Zero is never Canon to the Entire official Canon Fate TImeline and is its own Separated TImeline.
People who say so are coping so hard, ignoring the fact the Creator of Fate literally said that it was Never Canon at all.

Yep, different continuity but similar events with near identical end.

Good evening, i agree TC.

barely a fate fan, i played extra, will never play FGO, only know the lore of the franchise from osmosis from others over 15 years.

I was not expecting much, but this game....it really grabs me. combat is more involved then i thought, skills are more then surface level, i like the skill tree and how it incorporates with the Iori( he is a student of 5 styles so it makes sense their core skills meld with the other styles when he masters one).

you mostly use Iori and Saber( think of saber like a mosou and it makes a bit more sense), you can play as others...briefly. I can understand why folks would find this annoying but I like to think they did it purposefully for "the enemy to come".

what better way then letting you take the wheel to hype up the inevitable fight?

the game is not as dialogue heavy as i thought or im just not there yet, im in the middle(?) of chapter 2. wont lie the beginning was a bit on rails because its the grail war set up, so if you have seen one you have seen them all(meet servent, meet unlikely ally, make an alliance, gather info etc) but once it got out of the prologue ti began to breathe.

I was expecting the original fate game of asinine and disgustingly bloated dialogue to get to their point. it is lengthy, like any RPGS, but its more succinct, which i appreciate! :happypopo:

I know there are twists and turns and i appreciate the development. Iori...i feel will explode, he is too reserved, and saber is a saber with no Fs to give(like most sabers HA!). i look forward to see how these two come together.

I think...the ONLY issue i take with the game is that....did we have to have ANOTHER saber with us? the orginal fate routes (save for a couple outliers) the extella titles(yes you can chose others but there is saber again).

is the i understand why, as with all knight classes for the summons they can take the offensive easily. but do you know how cool it would be to get tagged with a caster or an assasin? torally different approach, totally different values on how to tackle the war, against the big knight classes(and beserker).

I suppose I want the fear of god in me as i face down the big 3...but this is fine i suppose.

Sorry for the essay every one, i just wanted to share in your surprise TC, there is more to this game then meets the eye. its a treat.:caststrength:

Pretty much my point. It is a nice surprise, by not focusing so much on the musou-esque elements and really focusing on skill trees that u can see the impact on gameplay.

And yeah, not being able to play as other characters more often kinda makes it annoying bur there's enough variety on things to do and combos/skills to use

Maybe they release some kinda arena to use other chars I don't know. I'm just happy that this game surprised me. I'm a sucker for anime games like scarlet nexus, tales of, I played the other fate games but since they were heavy on musou tropes I didn't grabbed me until now.

Persona 5 strikers was so good and u can see they followed close to that game in Fate samurai, using more story and combat being more refined and not so spammy.

Half to know u liked it too man

And I was stunned by how pathetic and lame it looks.

This game looks like it is Senran Kagura on a Playstation 2.

The character models are bad, the animations are pathetic, and there is no interaction between animations and models.

THIS is what a 2023 Fate game should look like.

Consider the budget of the movie and the budget of the game, I'm not a graphics guy, if the gameplay is good and the story is good I'm happy.

I mean one of my favorite games of all time Nier automata does not have stellar graphics but does have a superb story and great combat. I think the price charged for the game is a little overpriced because u can see the budget restrain but they managed to make a really good from what they have available

At least in my opinion..

Fate Zero best Fate part fr fr on god
Stay night novel is pretty damn good too but the animated series all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck given they either skip some important parts or dont know how to potray emiya shirou
oh and biggest downside is NO MANA TRANSFER SCENES
heavens feel has it but its short and not fully nude unlike novel where shirou and sakrua ♥♥♥♥♥♥ everyday, amen to that brother

also grand order is pretty pog if you got S tier luck in gacha
and servants are fun
