Can you beat Berserker the first time around?

Just asking if I should bother trying to beat him or if it's a scripted fight.

i beat him and it took me a lot of healing items even on sword fighter

yea he's beatable
just play patiently and don't be greedy
a lot of his attacks can ohko you, especially the grabs so don't fish for ripostes unless you're really confident

It's doable yes. I got very close then rage quitted and vowed to come back after getting a bit better gear lol. Planning to revisit him again today

You can level up a bit more.

The game warns you when its your last chance to fight him.
At least, I'm assuming the game was talking about that quest in particular.

Basically, you can play Story Mode until you can 'rest'
After that, some missions become unavailable. So do all the missions beforehand.

Or get some leveling til you got like 1k HP

I beat him on the hardest difficulty, it only took ages, but you'll want to do it whenever possible for unlocks

He's beatable and his moves are easily telegraphed so you can just evade it without problems. It will only take a bit of time since you deal chip damage to him if you are underleveled.

You can beat him as soon as you can fight him, which I did on hard. It took a bunch of tries but it's doable.

i just beat him but nothing is happening. I can move around while Berserker just sits there. Welp, time for round 2
