Is it possible to beat the tutorial boss the first time you encounter him?

He deals a ton of damage but I feel like if I had perfect systems mastery I might be able to do it.

Pretty sure his final Ultimate attack is unavoidable and puts you to 1HP. At least it feels pretty scripted for that to be the end of the fight.

Considering you can actually Game Over if you die before the last attack, I'm going to say it's entirely scripted.
