Personally, I'm hoping this is something a trainer or modders can address somewhat quickly and get it to play more akin to FF7 Remake where you could play almost every battle in the game without having to ever touch Cloud. That's what I'm hoping for anyways.
Waiting to get final confirmation on this. If my suspicions are correct, I am refunding this game and getting it when it is on deep discount.
No point on preordering at full price for an npc outfit.
That's what I've heard. Makes me really sad that the best Fate game available are the Extella games. They're not awful, but we could have gotten so much more game-play and level design wise. The roster in Link wasn't terrible but compared to Koei's Orochi franchise, it paled in comparison (Warriors Orochi 4 had 170 playable characters). And dear god did they do Jeanne dirty - rendering her Noble Phantasm useless. Combine with the complete lack of coop support...
While Extella was done my Marvelous, I blame Koei for us not having a single decent Samurai game to date. It's like they have a friggin monopoly on feudal Japan and China and nobody want's to challenge them (despite Koei's games being fun, but technically mediocre)
