Did you connect your controller to Steam? It's in Steam's controller settings.
JoyCons work with Ryochan7's DS4Windows emulating a DS4 but a few things had to be configured. The ViGEmBus driver is needed.
in settings tab, set a custom exe name. restart DS4Windows from the newly created exe.
in Device Options, enable support for JoyCon.
Select a JoyCon in the list.
Link Mode: Joined.
Gyro Provider: your choice.
Create a profile that maps Gyro to Passthru, Touchpad to Passthru, and Emulated Controller is DualShock 4
Steam should show a notification when the emulated DS4 is connected unless you disabled that. In Steam settings, you should enable controller configuration support for PlayStation controllers. while you are in this section of Steam controller settings, you might want to hide the two "Wireless Gamepad" controller's.
in Steam Library, the controller config's gyro sensitivity for Aperture Desk Job needs to be increased quite a lot to feel like a normal DS4.
Both controllers work in the "Controller Configuration" window and in Big Picture mode though. I also tried to apply every config after showing other controller types in the recommended section.
EDIT: Lol it works when loading the default Gamepad config from the Controller Configuration window under Templates
EDIT 2: It only works in the main menu, bruh
^This is all I was looking for. Most controllers have NO BACK PADDLES, so couldn't figure out what would trigger them in the game. Thanks yo.
