did this game really get abandoned so soon?

i had this one on my radar for some time since hearing about it post launch. Ultimate General Civil war is by far one of my favorite single player real time strategy games. and while the american revolution isnt really that interesting to me the concept of this game seemed neat in comparison to their other games. But i heard there were lots of bugs at launch so i decided to wait until it had some time t cook.

I was actually gonna get it today but then i read a lot of reviews saying the games been abandoned and i read that the lead devs for the game left gamelabs.

I dont really want to spend 40 bucks on a game if its still got a ton of bugs and its not even gonna be picked up by another team to get updates. Kind of sad if that the case and very sad to see the lead devs go. I enjoyed most of their games aside from dreadnaughts.

Yes, it is abandoned. Games labs as a whole is shut down.
