how's modding the game so far

with the game been officially dead, there's any group working in improving this game i was waiting for the devs to fix the major issues, but that's out of the window

Unreal engine is very hard to mod especially if developers didn't make it moddable.

Yea, I looked over the file system and there wasn't a;; that much that looked easily modable.

that's sad pretty much, so many devs just ignore how modding can keep a game alive for years with no support at all, good examples are medieval 2,Dawn of War, stalker, C&C, mount&blade and Bethesda games

Rome 2 is the perfect example.

medieval 2 is a better example because right now, there's still alot of different mod teams working, like Divide&Conquer have 4 sub mods that have big folowing and work, you have dragon age, game of thrones,Witcher,Warhammer , legend of Zelda and the historical ones like Europa barbarorum, Insularis draco, Stainless Steel Historical Improvement Project, Tsardoms, but in rome 2 theres only 2 big mods right now.

The game was made using unity. There are free unity decompilers and asset editors available that can be used for modding.

Sorry I meant Unity, but the modding is not that user friendly compared to say Paradox games. Someone must have a lot of free time on their hands and strong desire to mod this game, this is not for an average modder.

Well you did a fantastic job breathing new life into civil war, tbh without your mod it's not a great game
