Campaign finished

I was able to successfully complete my first campaign. I will write a more detailed feedback on this in due course.

I would just like to share some basic information here.

My campaign ended on June 21, 1780. So victory doesn't seem to necessarily depend on the date. I thought the campaign lasted until the fall of 1781 (Battle of Yorktown). And that was also the date that was mentioned repeatedly, including by the developers. But there are such things as victory points. They could play into this. I had 1867 of these. Does the campaign end automatically after a certain number of victory points? I assume so because the campaign ended very early. I thought I still had a whole year left.

My play time was approximately 63 hours. Pretty solid for one playthrough and more than stated by the developers.

And unlike in TW, the campaign cannot be continued. If the corresponding save game is loaded, victory will still occur the following day.

Tech trees have also been discussed elsewhere. I can say that I was able to explore almost everything. I was usually only missing 2-4 technologies for each tree. if I had more time, I could have finished them.

I'm on 3k+ victory points late 1777 so it's not just points, maybe a mix of points and a minimum date?
