How do you actually play this?
Brits just standing in the villages and recruiting people faster than me. I just got to the point where i hit army cap and i just can't outrun them in terms of people because my regiments is 450-480 people and brits have 700 people in one regiment.

You slowly build up your forces. You do not have to take Boston right away. I typically do not take Boston until late October to early November, after I have secured more of the map when it opens up.

Also, if you choose the extra infantry unit during character creation, you will have a good starting force. In addition, research in the Commander-in-Chief section offers 2 more unique fusilier units.

Well i tried to build up forces, but the thing is that AI does that too, and it does that even faster than me.
Play on easy and take your time. This game is not one to be rushed. Look after your General. If you die on the campaign map (Happened to me three times) game over.
This game favours the British in all respects as per history. Choose your battles carefully and expect a response. Things become a bit more even when you can equip your troops with better weapons.
Don't over camp and watch your provisions. One of my early games I gave up on due to starvation and desertion.
Watch your back. Focus on one area too much and they'll bite you somewhere else.
Enjoy.

During your character creation if you choose to take the extra unit (which I personally do) you can start the game with 3 fusilier regiments. I make those three the core of my army and militia regiments support them. I also make my militia with 1 arty company each, and after you research arty enough you can add an arty company to your fusiliers too. Those units always get priority and the best weapons first. The fusiliers you receive at start have 2 companies missing, so when you stop in town you can put two companies in and the regiments will be 720 men.

As for taking Boston, this is my 2 cents. Your goal is to get the odds in your favor, even when the AI has 7k+ troops in Boston. Lure out the regiments in Boston by moving singular regiments or an army from several directions towards Boston. This will bring out a number of regiments that you can either fight them piecemeal when they are far enough from Boston, then send in your regular army to either capture Boston or clean up. Divide and conquer. For the 1st year or so you need to out number the Brits due to their better quality and weapons.
