Ultimate General: American Revolution

why the AI art ?
There is a lot of AI art in the game... I mean, come on, there are indie dev teams of 1-5 people capable of affording art for their game.
There is a lot about this game that stinks of low effort, from the amount of content to the "art"

You don't even have arguments against it; AI art in games is never a good sign.

As an indie Dev I understand the appeal of AI Art. Money is limited, and AI art is much cheaper than commissioning it. While I personally haven't used it so far in my projects, I am certain that we will see a major increase in AI art being used across the industry, no matter if Indie or AAA.

For sure, we will see it more. Too bad the quality of games is not going up with all that additional saved money; quite the opposite, actually.

It depends, if the quality of games goes down depends on the devs, not if they use AI art or not. If my development budget is 30.000 dollars, only having to spend 2000 on art instead of 8000 frees up 6000 dollars for other parts of development. That could either be more content, more art, better music/voice acting, better polish or other stuff. Quality going down has more to do with the devs/publisher not caring rather than them using AI art, as any good dev studio will have someone who makes sure the quality of the art is high and improves the quality if necessary anyways.

*Buys game in EA and alpha and complains about the art* There must not be too much to be mad about if the gripe here is AI art. This is a Ukrainian dev team that has other issues around them then worrying about a small aspect of the game, and acts as if that is representative of the game quality. How much have you actually played, or do you realize this dev team updates damn near once a week or ten days? If the AI art is what turns you off then get a refund and forget this game, you aren't going to enjoy it, but LOW EFFORT isn't something that can be laid at the feet of this game, as it sounds like you're bugged cause it just doesn't meet your expectations.

TL;DR - quit focusing overly about art when that is such a footnote aspect of the game when there is countless hours of content and game play, but go on and expect Larian quality from a AA dev.

I've noticed, that many of the pictures I've seen ingame shows soldiers and other men who are left-handed (Left dominant hand)
The way they hold weapons etc...
Its not necessarily wrong, but, somehow, looks a bit ... weird, unsettling, like if these elements do not belong in those pictures.
I wonder if that is how AI art works?
Great pictures, but with some of these, strange, off-putting elements...

Most AI have what I would call a "anti-realism" bias programmed into them, for political reasons, like googles AI depicting historical figures like George Washington or WW2 german soldiers as black. So the left handed soldiers are probably caused by that.

I've spent a bit more time observing that picture (Where Patriot soldiers alongside Indians are firing at a distant British)
Its like all of the soldiers to the right of the imaginary middle line are reflected in the mirror.

Also, how do you guys know that all these art is AI generated?
