Yeah it's really difficult to justify buying this. I really want to support these devs as they've made some awesome games but 50 bucks with a $70 premium edition is ridiculous for an EA title.

Thinking the same , i like TW and i was like well the period is not my thing but it seems amazing and i can get into it and then i see that 50€ price tag for a early access. I understand these games do take allot off effort but this price tag throws more people off then anything , losing 2/3th off potential customers over the 1/3th who are heavily invested in these game because off a price tag.

I purchased General Edition from Xsolla simply because I am a huge fan of the series. I do not have my Steam key yet, so I do see the price in the store and for me it says $44.99. I assume that is a loyalty discount or an initial early access discount. I still think it is alot for this game, but you all should have a slight discount.

I have not had a ton of time in game yet, but I did get slaughtered on my first playthrough on easy. Washington got trapped and the British just overwhelmed me. Thus the rebellion was over haha.

The in game combat seems to need some work to me. It doesn't feel as good as Age of Sail did to me, but this is still early access. Given past games I think it will improve. I think $40 would have been an appropriate price for the game with a $60 premium edition, but that may change as time goes on depending on if the game gets better or not.

34,99€ is for me the limit for a early access game , the problem is that the price will increase so 50€ today and 60 - 65€ on release it's kinda way to much. It's not that we can't afford it but you can't expect everyone is gonna play this 100's of hours out off replay value to justify 50€ for a decent early access TW game. I feel so many developers look at their games content and replayability wise without every thinking that this is a fairly overblown case for a majority off people genuinly interested in these genres or games.

New games have become generally more expensive in the past years. It don't see a problem with 50 bucks, especially if it has a 10% discount at the moment. If u aren't happy with the price, just wait until the next steam sale.

From the store page: „The base price will not increase further.“ The game will cost the same as now. U are just asuming.

It's just total greed

They've already greed on alpha tester by selling access on Xsolla

And now they greed on steam EA

It's not greed , it's pride. It seems to be a great game , they think so themself therefor it's priced according to their vision and replayability as it stands content wise for the game. But this is a huge mistake , i find it to expensive for a early access title for such a niche interest field and anyone remotely interested is pulled away due to the price tag.

you dont have a problem with the price but others do. I see this as constructive feedback in a forum that is designed to give feedback. Your opinion is valid just as much as their opinion.

My opinion is the price is too high for an early access game. A steam sale isnt going to happen for a while and nor should it. Game needs more polish and a full release then I would consider a purchase at $50.

If it is to high in your opinion, then wait for the full release. The base price is said to not increase any further after full release. The dev-team has any right to claim a price they think sufficient for THEIR product, especially if it matches the prices of other RTS games currently on the market.

what the hell. I was about to buy it for a similar price than the previous games but this is crazy.

No way.

I ll wait months , years and buy it when the pricing will be right.

Just my opinion, but I have been playing this game since Jan ‘24 and I have sunk 100s of hours into multiple campaigns. If its, bang for your buck, you will be safe with this purchase.
