there is a big bug...
Last time I played the Scarlet fight, I encountered the bug numerous times until I couldn't be bothered to reload anymore. So, I just used ended up rage-playing the boss fight for about 70 minutes and used up every single health item in the process, but in the end it worked out..
Was it worthi it? Well, I got to the end of the game ;)
Never had that problem in the PS3 version though..
you should try it again with a (much) lower resolution.
When the game runs (completely) fluent, most of these things won´t occur.
F.e. I have a very low end machine at the moment and I startet with playing on Full HD resolution (1920x1080) and everything was very slow and choppy. ->But I thought it was the games fault, because everyone was complaining about the game being choppy.
Upon reaching Scarlet, I had the "immortal bug".
After going down with the resolution to 1200x720(ish) I had no problem at all with Scarlet being immortal. It worked on the 1st try.
Now I was a bit further at another boss-fight, and the game didn´t recognize my button-mashing upon being grabbed by the boss. Resulting in a certain death.
So I went all the way down to the lowest resolution and middle graphics-quality in video setting.
I then had no problems button-mashing my way out of the enemies "death-grip".
This game seems to pretty much ignore your GPU and seems to heavily rely on your cpu.
As I have a Dual Core with 2.7 mhz at the moment (of which the game probably only uses one core becaus eit probably wasn´t designed to support multiple cores), this doesnt really seem enough for the game -> so it bugs out on certain spots...
So when the game bugs out on you - just go waaay down with the resolution to get that graphical Silent Hill 1 psx vibe :) and all will be swell.
And after finishing the critical point in the game, you can increase the resolution again (if needed).
