Hey. I just installed SH Homecoming on my new PC and when I start the game then I can see just subtitles "Konami" and other things and then the screen is black and game crash. I can't even go to game menu.. I really like SH games and I hope someone will help me with this.

Hej thank you for help! it's working but there is another problem.. The game are laging so hard and graphics looks just like sh!t. How I can fix it?
and also here is what I did to make it works:
Go the folder where the game are installed (steam>steamapps>common>Silent Hill Homecoming>Bin) right click on file "SilentHill" and chose "properties" and then click to "Compatibility mode". Then place a check mark the box in the box in front of “Run this program in compatibility mode for" and chose "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" and place a check mark on "Disable desktop composition" and "Run as an Administrator" and click on Apply and then Ok and run the game (SilentHill) from this folder (not from steam)

This wotks for me but still I'm asking about how to fix the graphics and "lags" in the game. I can play but.. it's so hard with this lags xD

Let me know what you see in the settings menu. Anistropic? Antialias? Try puting everything on low for now and work your way up.

there is really no settings menu, all options set to automatically.. I can only change the brightness of the screen. and I think I can't set worse graphics what I have now XD

got this game working flawlessly by switching over to my integrated gpu, rather then using my dedicated gpu. and changing compatibility to XP Service Pack 3

Integrated: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 (runs flawlessly)

Dedicated: GTX 970M (runs like ass)
