try opening vars_pc.cfg using a notepad editor (like notepad++) and change the line:
hope you can fix it,using this method...
This would also explain why I still have QTE's and the frame rate doesn't go above 30.
This is what I did with the Unknown Project patch.
I ran the installer, installed it in the folder of the game, took that out, moved all the files in it into the directory for the game, got it to replace any existing files. So by all rights it definitely should be installed.
The 2.5 is the base patch to change FPS and edit more options.
After that, you need to download the 3.xx patches,i downloaded the 3.0E,F and the latest the 3.0G (in that order) heres the link: https://github.com/unknownproject/Silent_Hill_Homecoming/releases when you install the 2.5/3.0D,install this ones...
Wait, so do you also need the previous 3.0 patches installed as well or is it fine with just installing the newest 3.0g patch on top of the 2.5 patch?? It seemed to be ok with me doing so but I don't want to get deep into the game and find out I messed up.
well... not much, the 3.0 versions are updates for the base 2.5-3.0D to fix some things and optimize things inside the game,i downloaded the 3.0E,F,G in order, but you can install only the latest 3.0G version on top 2.5 patch...
but,if you dont want to mess up the game,or you are not sure if install this one, just make it in that order ( i installed the updates one by one,and worked fine for me)...
