Is the game playable?
Lots of complains in the review section saying the game closes itself. Is this problem solved now? Or it only occurs on certain system?

It might be just on certain systems, it's playable on my Steam Deck

Played it 3 times. Crashed 3 times.

If I Alt-Tab out it crashes when I go back in so I only do that after saving. During gameplay it's fine.

Kinda
Just do not play it with patches for 60fps, i got it to crash consistently on a cutscene after beating Scarlett

Then certain audios are playing on Mono instead of Stereo and you might need a patch to fix that

I do get some weird spotlight lighting that makes the game nearly unplayable after the first boss fight, I keep getting killed by enemies when trying to escape the police station

Run it at 1920x1080 or below. At the moment it seems to be working OK for me.

There are unofficial patches that fix most of what's broken.

This. Greater stability and it appears to be the only way to make the map function normally.

I was looking this game up again to see if any fixes or mods were done to control and map being cut off. It seems there is! Will try them soon but here they are if you would also like to use. The video I have seen show this does in fact work and fix a lot of things.

I will be installing game again soon and trying this out. Seems a lot of things were fixed.

Yes, it's perfectly playable.
On Playstation 3, that is.

It was OK on XBOX360 too.

I have tried to play this on 5 different PCs since I bought it on release, I have never been able to make it past the Shepherd house, it always crashes on the loading screen when trying to leave, that is if I manage to get past the Basement scene.

At one point I wrote an quick programme that allowed you to set the key mapping, because it does not save to the config file in game, only to save file. So if you start again, or flip to an older save, the mappings are reset. But that no longer works on Windows 8+.

Bottom line, if you have bought it, give it a go, if you have not bought it, get it on a console instead, it works fine there.

You can also sometimes get the Playstation button prompts in QTEs, even if you are playing on an Xbox controller (360 with dongle or Series-X via bluetooth)

Although the death scenes in this game are some of the most enjoyable I have seen in gaming. Failing the QTE with the bunny and getting caught by a Schism are my favourites.
