""My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.""
I mean, you could take my advice and walk away, but you can try it for yourself, it's just 10 bucks and you can refund.
I'd recommend it if you're ABSOLUTELY desperate to try it, since it can be quite difficult to procure the original version and a PS2 (or PS3).
I'm really disappointed they didn't try harder.
Old SH are better on consoles.
I wish I could have experienced Homecoming on console because the way I got it on PC was a disaster.
And yes, the original SH anthology was better on consoles.
Just because the port isn't perfect doesn't make this unworthy to buy and play.(At least it's much better than buying expensive copy of the game from Ebay)
After so many long time, Konami has released this game on GoG and you just want it to fail because it isn't "perfect".
This statement is too ridiculous. Defending the release ironically makes you a fan, someone trying to bury the franchise, in your own words. This is the quality standard you want? Ok man, I get it.
Yes, just like I said above, try it only if you can't sleep at night knowing you never tried SH4. Yes, it's better than getting an original copy, the console it came with and an old TV.
I can't really make something fail that has already failed commercially all those years ago. Warning people that this is almost the exact same version as before with some slight INI tweaks isn't wanting it to fail, it's simply making a heads up.
I'm still happy they made it available. Hopefully, modding will make it even better.
There's a Config.exe in the data folder which you can use to rebind your controller outside the game.
I have a DS4 too, but the layout was all messed up, not just the right joystick. Basically the only correct bindings for me were the DPad and the left joystick. Everything else had to be reconfigured.
