THIS IS NOT the worst Silent Hill game

Tired of people saying that this game is the worst Silent Hill when it's obviously nowhere close to being the worst. Hell, it's not even a bad game per se. It may have relied more on fan service than they should have, but I thought the story, creature designs, and gameplay was pretty spot on. Maybe not the best Silent Hill game but nowhere near the worst.

"Fan service" are keywords here really. You add pyramid head and/or nurses from Silent Hill 2 you automatically make the worst SH game...

Sorry, I am a Silent Hill 2 fanboy (and 1 and 3 to some extent), SH2 sits in Top1 on my personal list of best games of all time, and I even consider it to be better than the arguably best book of all time called Crime and punishment by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, so if you are adding monsters/places/whatever from other SH games into your game, you absolutely MUST understand what you are doing. Or else Silent Hill 1/2/3/whatever fanboys will call the game a complete garbage. Like I do.

Spot on. You also forgot to mention this game blatantly stole SH2's plot twist! And relied far too heavy on ideas from the movie, that never were parts of the games themselves.. It certainly is a candidate for the very worst Silent Hill game.
On it's own, it's a good game. But as a SH title, it's probably the worst..

I like homecoming too! The only silent hill I didn't like was SH4. I wasn't a fan of the Wii game either, I forget what it was called. Nothing will ever top the first game though, in my opinion.

Tank-control lovers don't understand one thing - there is no canon in a fiction and Homecoming is 100% spin-off game. With a lot of references to previous games by the way. And if you don't grown up in the family of military officer, never was a second for your father and he never tried to kill you. Well. You will never undestand the game. Keep in mind The series is about thousands of different theories. Who knows that SilentTeam never lied to make their games more understandable or full of theories. Brainless fans always ready to swallow japanese c*u*m.

@ OP: Then it's obvious you weren't there during the main anthology made by Team Silent.

I was there since the beginning and this is the worse one because it's the one where Konami gave the game's right to amateur who more or less didn't know what the ♥♥♥♥ they were doing.

This game is not a true stand alone silent hill game, it's just a mediocre parody of the other games put into this one, most notable stuff from sh2.

It's really not worth playing or owning. It's not even that good by itself as some like to suggest. You have far better silent hill games to play over this. On the other hand...this is better than downpour, I couldn't even get a few hours into that game before I just shelved it in disgust.
