Silent Hill: Homecoming

Silent Hill: Homecoming

can't save because the saves are full
I played to the first savepoint. The game tells me that I have no more save slot for silent hill V. But I never save before. Anyway to fix this? I have google and there are some people that face the problem but there are no solution for this.

What you could try is to move(move, don't delete) the save source file, then start the game and see if that has solved the problem? Do you know how to do this? If not, let me know and I'll write up a tutorial for you. :)

Sure!

You should be able to find a folder titled "Silent Hill Homecoming" at this path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\

Inside this folder there's a *.bin file titled "shv_save", this is the file that contains all of your savegames. So what you can try doing is making a backup copy of it, removing it from the savegame folder, then start the game and see if you're able to save anything at all. If that works, then try copying your old file back into the savegame folder, overwriting the new file that should be there now.

Let me know if you're having difficulties with any of this and I'll do my best to help. :)

No. He has no proper admin right so the game can't obtain security token for reading and writing to the system directory. Even without empty saveslot this error will never happen. My second patch moves savegame dir to "Engine/savegame" without accessing to any WinApi's. Check my thread or PCGaming wiki page.
