I was just about the ask the same question. It's great that Dread X is able to publish full games now, but the collections are what brought me here. It'd be a tragedy if there weren't any more.

yeah. Dread X Collections was a reason I've start learn how to programming, making graphics and animation and developing a game. Now after almost 2 years I'm ending my own game with my own assets. So yes. Dread X Collection change my life. So please don't let this series die.

Symanski seemed to hand over the reins after The Hunt (part 4) and I dont think who ever is in charge is as passionate about it.

The Dread X Collections began all of these little horror game anthology and collections. And they were so well put together, each with their own theme. It was imaginative and fun. Collection 1 actually had some really unsettling creepy moments Ill never forget.

Airdorf, Torple Dook, Lovely Hellspace and many more I discovered were staples of the series. Perhaps the time has passed. But if the person in charge of these collections would take more time and search out those talented indie horror devs off of Itch.io and others... Id welcome a whole new cast of talented indie devs.

DONT LET THE SERIES DIE!!! Im looking to October. Come on DreadXP!

If you havent though.... go to Itch.io and check out the Haunted PS1 collection. Think they made 2 or 3.

To be honest. If my theory is correct than dread x is connected lore-wise to A LOT of other horror games like The Hex or Lost in Vivo. So, there's that.

KIRA is an amazing developer and if you havent tried their homage to Kingsfield, LUNACID, you really should.
Yeah I haven't played a Dread X game in sooooo long so I checked the steam page assuming there'd me one or two more games released by now, but no. It's a huge shame since I love these little indie experiences and an overarching narrative is just a nice bonus to keep me playing.
