I hope you can add the ships from the 1953 movie that would be fun attacking in groups of 3

Those weren’t ships. They had legs but they were projected electromagnetic fluxes that lift the machine off the ground. And this game is mainly based on the 2005 movie so that highly unlikely.

I endorse this concept.
Not to put too much work on them, they can just finish the game first.
But ultimately, it would be easy enough to add a second game mode with 1953 buildings/cloths and alien assets. keeping each play mode separate to retain cohesion.
And I don't think copyright would be an issue with any of that stuff. its so old.
