A couple of problems
Having some fairly bad issues going on 4th invasion with upkeep;

1. I've tried setting up a warehouse and a warehouse worker by the fishing hut at the beach, so I can get the marketer to get the fish and bring it back, but before I know it I'm practically forced to build a whole town there just to... support a fisherman who is;
a. Too stupid to eat the fish they capture
b. Too stupid to put firewood in the campfire I built there from the pile of firewood
c. Too stupid to make their own bait
d. So stupid, that they fling bait all over the platform constantly; they pull it out and seem to chuck half of it all over
e. warehouse guy & firsher end up starving to death / freezing to death cause, well too stupid to do anything apparently.

In short.... fishing huts & fisher people suck donkey doodle.

2.The Coal Maker....
a. Too stupid to pick up the 50,000 firewood 100 feet away. But they are totally capable of following me around everywhere telling me they need firewood.
b. Too stupid to take out stumps; this literally should be this person's job.

So far all the firewood get's used up by the cooking house that is running 24/7. Because, well not a single NPC is capable of taking out stumps. So I guess our characters should be renamed to DeStumper Extraordinaire or something, because that and gathering reeds seems to be our primary jobs.

I dont think even the woodcutter's are picking up firewood. I've started being forced to haul it in along with the other 8,000 tasks I have to do.

If anyone knows something I'm missing, would be great. thanks.

the game is heavly macro manage . instead of you going out killing thing your more of a base moma . you don't have the time to train . an when a raid come's your guys are ether sleeping an die in there sleep .

also ran into problems with the long house they wont refill the fire to keep warm they rather go to sleep an freeze to death . it to much work an no fun at all .

I don't know what your fishermans problems are - my fisher hut is working without any intervention of myself, the storage beside is full with fish and the market boy daily fills up the storage beside the kitchen with fresh fish - this works since hundered days I suppose - and I have more fish then I need. The fisherman and the storage managerin are sleeping at home. All my people have complete set of clothes - so no one has to freeze too much.

Yea, another thing that happened was the fisher swam out where I swam out to, and dropped her leather shirt for one in the pile of flimsy linen shirts I dropped out there. I swapped her shirt out and watched her purposly swim out there to get a crappy shirt.

So then I had to swim out, grab all the ones I had dropped there, swam back, swapped hers out again, went a ways down the beach, tossed them on the ground, then hit them with a hoe until they were destroyed.

ok I guess I'll try and house everyone at the base. It's not terribly far, was just trying to make it easier since they appear to be so fragile and die if I'm not hovering over them constantly.

You can build cook house near the fishers they should keep the fire burning for warmth. (BBQer will do same but will burn through your stocks of fish real quick)

for firewood - use the Building Resource Marker flag - you still have to chop them up but the warehouse workers and coal makers should find them easy enough.

As of right now the fishing hut doesnt function optimally when its deloaded (simulated). I would only recommend using the fishing hut if its relatively close to your main. Build a fish warehouse next to the fishing hut and have a market transport the fish from that hut to your main (build a road too). If the shore is too far away I wouldnt bother at all until some of the code is optimized. The throwing away bait im pretty sure is an unintended bug (put away mats when on leisure time / rest). That being said farms and hunter lodges are just better simulated atm and its better just to go with another if you are having food issues.
