Thank you for the confirmation. Much appreciated.
I would like to emphasize that it's more of a personal preference, and not an attack on games that do that.
I'm not sure how grindy the game is for gear/levels/or whatever you need to be formidable, or if you just join a friend's world, get their OP weapons, and are evenly strong without a huge power difference due to leveling up.
I just personally don't like when multiple friends get a high level on their own worlds, join the other, and are killed by everything due to underleveled, so they have to restart the grind just to be half as strong as they already were.
Games like Don't Starve Together that have power tied to gear and base, make it so that if your buddy unlocked everything, you can use their spare weapons and are already there. I still think it's annoying not having my own setup, but at least I don't have to level up 50 levels to fight a boss they're fighting on that world.
Hard to explain, so I like making it a point to say it's just what I enjoy more.
For sure, I met many people that love having to start over to make it fun again. But if they really liked it, I don't see why they don't just start over on their own, without having to be told, but to each their own.
I typically prefer games that do that. Just makes it easier playing with friends not having to organize busy schedules on a mutual world, when most of our time we can't play with each other and are in our own.
I started a game with the longest day setting and after 40 hours I realise my mistake ^^ Normal is to short, longest to long (due to resources growth) :D
Like trees 32 days. Well I'm still on day 30 or smth after all that time ^^.
Wish I could just re-start on a new world on medium setting using my present char.
(or be able to change the daytimer on the started game) but start new would be ok as well.
As mentioned like the system used in Valheim etc.
