Cant build Metalworker

I try to build the metal worker, it ataches to the workshop. But I get a popup saying, cant build here overlapping with obsticles...I cannot see anything in the way. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks

look for small stones. mostely there is one.

Try dropping a stick where you want to build then use T to pick it up - it sometimes causes stuff that is under flattened ground to pop up to the surface. Happened to me when I tried placing my coal maker one time.

@johnnc or same with a small stone.
build-blocker are small stones, vegetables, woodstick on a bush or feathers.

Can try to use the hoe tool and go over the whole area with it. This will delete small items, bushes and other blockers. Up under the edge of the workshop is also place where something can block the new add on.

if you raised the level of the ground, you may have a resource spawned under the service just enough that it pops out the top to stop you from building. These resources can be destroy permanently by using a hoe. Yeah mostly you'l find that some items can get dropped under the framework of the ground, causing them to still interfere with things above the framework. This can be anything that has a small form. Like stone, sticks, berries, feathers, eggs, veggies, seeds, fiber. Using the mass pickup is generally the fix for now.
