I'm going to have to stock up on maybe 4 full warehouses of just food alone and see if I can switch my guys to using coal instead of fire wood.
15 minutes on minimum
20 minutes on reduced
24 minutes on normal
48 minutes on extended
1 hour 36 minutes on maximum
Again these are rough estimates
Not true. I keep getting a blood moon on same day no matter how many times i restart.
yeah, im pretty sure they fixed it in the latest patch. I had to stop in the middle of a blood moon and go to work and when I reloaded, it was still in progress.
Or maybe it was just a glitch on my end.
Extending the day length is extending how many sec per minute in game.
Example:
normal is 1sec=1min ingame
Max game length 3sec=1min ingame
Pro: longer day time, more preparation for the first blood moon
Cons:
*longer time respawn resources
*You have to feed villagers more since water/food consumption is the same
*You need to check your villagers schedule more since longer time per day. You need to micromanage more sleeping/eating/work per the length of day you choose.
*You have longer bad events
So far that all I got before I wipe my save since I though it adjusted sunlight time vs night
Blood moons and invasions seem to have a monster quota which they have to meet, which scales with days played, or perhaps with net villager count - does this expand if the night lasts longer, or is it fixed regardless of day length?
For instance - you've no doubt noticed that if you get a blood moon rush pretty early in the night, it'll end early; You'll get the notice that the blood moon has ended after you kill the last one, regardless if it's 12:00AM or 4:40AM.
Same with invasion - if a random monster chases one of your guys around town, you'll have cleaned up everything else, but until that last monster goes down the invasion event persists. I had a skeleton stuck in my moat in a random place and I was baffled why the invasion just seemed to go on and on, with no new monsters spawning. So it appears that there's a set number on the spawner of how many creatures and of what average "level" they are, more or less, e.g., the more prepared you are, the more the spawn will bias towards draugrs and followers as opposed to wights and skeletons.
