are bronze weapons any good?
there are no stats listed for the weapons that enemies drop for bronze weapons. is it maybe as follows

iron weapons > bronze weapons > wood clubs etc

so iron is the best? and bronze is in the middle?

I have no idea.

Fellow NPCs want better weapons and armor.
They choose it over a wooden cudgel, but they choose an iron weapon over it.

I think the attack power, etc. is somewhere between a large cudgel and an iron long sword.

Ive never encountered bronze. I've only found iron. The stuff the enemies drop has been pretty rubbish. Even a two handed sword was doing 10 damage, whereas my one handed iron axe does over 20.

When i used an iron two handed axe, i tried the two handed bronze sword and it dealt less damage. I don't think it was by a lot, but enough that i think it's either at or slightly below iron.
Never tried the swords and if i remember correctly, the axe deals a bit more if i remember correctly

I'm totally not gonna admit that bronze weapons are from a bygone era of the game when we initally wanted to do Bronze - Iron - Silver whatever progression. In the meantime we switched to a more grounded and historical take on weapons and materials, but the swords were already made. They ended up being skeleton weapons, as a nod to an older civilization using older tech prior to yours, but newer weapons still than those used by the Draugar.

Sometimes the best ideas are a result of changing plans.

It was a good decision.
It makes sense as a story.
The existence of bronze implies a tin trade. This older civilization must've been reasonably well connected to the outside world. Or at least that's one thread of the world this detail builds.
