base stats
I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere. I searched the discussions and cant find how to increase base stats. Or is that not an option and being reborn continually just makes you worse off each time.

Well I'm not sure. I haven't taken notes to see which stats lower when you die but was curious if they are base stats now or skill related stats.

They're all skill related. There is currently no way to raise your health/stamina etc. You should be able to see your skills as they level and pop up on your screen.

Ok thank you

This question reminded me of a similar question I had about the 'Starting Stats' of the "ASKA" and "RAGNAR" characters on the home screen. I'm guessing this is intentional and meant to cater to playstyles that favor a durable melee playstyle versus an agile ranged playstyle? Any chance in the future we can apply the stat layout to the character we desire to play?

This isn't something planned afaik, but I do know at one point the devs were discussing adding more playable characters with other strengths.

The Shrines you construct from reaching milestones by killing bosses give you and your villagers bonuses to exp gained while using specific skills. This element exponentially increases the strategy you may employ when attempting to defeat a boss as soon as possible. For instance, Killing Hogger the Relentless gives you the water Shrine. That shrine gives a buff that temporarily increases your aptitude for Melee combat. (As well as your villagers who attend.) You may schedule a ceremony during a specific time your Melee villagers are on Leisure time.

That is my question as well .. why give us base stats if it cannot be changed or increased?

And I mean stats like strength, intelligence and agility

So, what makes strength, dexterity and intelligence go up?

Food and the altars help
If you are worried about your health then increase your armor rating with better armor.
If stamina is a concern then increase your stamina regen. Food and the Chief's house resting buff is what you need.

No, I’m not worried about my health, I’m trying to figure out what makes those 3 stats increase. I know about food, rest, and alter buffs, but something makes them increase permanently.
Generally speaking, if we have a stat that is never changing, can't be impacted in any way, and is there for a constant throughout the game, you all should just remove it. It then becomes useless and pointless and serves just to confuse people.

Nothing makes them increase permanently. Only the temporary buffs from food altar resting.

It's still early access. They are not impacted a great deal now but future changes could happen.

Not gonna argue, but you’re wrong. They absolutely do 3 Screenshots following, all clearly showing zero active buffs on the character at the moment, and all 3 clearly showing different base stats. no arguement.
