How can I get smolker horns ?

I've tried to kill the ones with horns, but I don't understand how to harvest them.

They seem to drop rarely, I finally have gotten a single one myself. I just kept hunting them. once you skin them, the horns get flung a bit kind of like how the leather scraps do. you can set the horn on high priority in their tasks, but I have not seen a hunter bring one in yet.

I went out on my own to hunt horned ones but nothing, I had to do 3-4 groups and it's frustrating.

I let my hunter kill it and skin it and it dropped.

I killed smokers since there are alot of smokers it will drop. also kinda hard to see on the ground

Smolkers have 2 types as of this patch. Ones with horns and ones without. They use to all have them. The horned ones are pretty rare but only they drop the horns.

Even if you kill a horned one it isn't guaranteed to drop as well
