Whenever I find berries now I just convert it all to berry bait so that my fisher does the fishing thing. Drop a hundred or so in the bait chest and check back later.
As for fish bait, I just make it from the fish he catches, when I make it at all. You have to harvest it to fillets, and then make bait. What difference it makes is not clear.
My cook will go over and harvest the fish to cook with, but the whole 'chuck it on the ground and hit it with the knife' mechanic is odd, as is the one skinny fillet you get from a fish.
If anyone knows how to reliably get him to make his own bait, that would be good.
My farm generally has a good supply of berries, but it's not very close to the fishing hut ... Maybe it's too far?
As for the warehouse, I haven't built one yet. I've managed to stumble through to like, 20 days until the first portal event, and the attacks you get hit with every few nights tend to wipe out my logging and/or stone huts, which destroys all the resources as well.
So yeah ... limping along, losing all my wood and stone every few nights has left me underdeveloped. I'll give it a shot though.
Thanks
Yes the warehouse and the market will become very crucial in your village. These structures are what make your ai start to feel smart.
