Dedicated server sketchy??

I got the dedicated server app downloaded and followed the google doc info. from the pinned thread, I actually was able to run the server before reading those instructions and it was allowing me to join my own game from the in-game browser, but after I followed those instructions and installed steamcmd, created the .bat etc., now my server is not showing.

I would've left it alone before and just ran the game that way but it was not using my multiplayer save even though I updated the save line in the server properties txt, so I figured I needed to do something else, but installing steamcmd (not even sure what it does) and the .bat as shown in the pinned google doc seems to have made things worse??

Anyone got a video tutorial on how to properly setup the dedicated server AND preferably transfer a save file into the server?
