Logs getting cut while cutting trees fix plz

I am logging for logs and my axe keeps cutting the logs into pieces as I cut the tree for the logs. its annoying because the entire forest is basically gone for four logs. I know your all busy working small fixes. I added workers to log but instead of using the log they chop it up for fire wood, even though theres many stumps to cut instead but they don't. LMAO.
I wish i could just break into the game and do some fixes myself. I could and know how to but I don't think that's right.
If need someone to help fix the small annoying stupid things hit me up. Special projects. I have many skills and worked with many programs.

I work around is to pick up and move the logs as you go.

you remove the logs before cutting the tree into logs?
When logging skill gets up, not only do you chop up a tree faster, but the logs and long sticks in the tree you are harvesting, gets damaged too, to the point that they may split into pieces as you give the last strike to cut the tree up.

This all happens when cutting the tree down to chop it more to get logs. The tree even when on the ground just exploded into long sticks and other stuff with no logs. Being a tree that "gives logs". I'll find a work around if able. I'll post if I find one.

I have not tried, but maybe the small stone axe could be better?

Ah I see what you are saying the logs are being destroyed before hitting the ground in the same swing that chops down the tree. I have seen that happen to and thought it was just lag. But you are probably right it's probably higher skill. A less powerful axe might solve that as a work around.

It would, but I was stupid:P The weaker axe can not be used on the larger trees.

It is just dumb.. axes do not have AOE. I am soon at a skill where I wont get logs at all, maybe not long sticks either.

So far I'm lvl 51 with axes, and the large stone axe is helping not break the logs as I'm chopping the tree. I was using the iron axe and it's so strong it was just exploding the trees.
