Atm compost is rotten food. It would be nice if we could build a composter in which to deposit food and other decaying stuff to make compost.

Yeah, considering that vikings used a sophisticated system of crop rotation, alternating between cereals and leguminous plants to restore soil fertility, I bet they've had some primitive fertilizer production, which would include a bucket that they used to mixed manure, rotten food and water together. This is EA though, maybe they'll add more stuff. Then again, the game feels quite complete, so I'd be surprised that we'll see more game mechanics.

Recooking any 4 veggie soups in the crock pot will create a single compost. it take a ton of resources 4 water+ 4 veggie soups but if you are struggling for fiber or a certain veggie you like using. it might be worth it. hope this helps someone.

I would make my villagers poop at a poop house and then use it as manure xD

You can actually deposit the rotten food into a warehouse container, called small crafting items, and set it to be just for that stuff, then your warehouse guy will run around grabbing it all saving you the trouble.

Only problem is you can't store food in that container to rot.

I was thinking about this though, a container specifically called a compost bin should be made for the warehouse, in this bin you can post food, rotted food and fiber. Food rots into rotten food, 2 rotten food and 10 fiber could make 5 compost, 4 compost per plant to 100% each section, and compost lasts 1 season degrading to zero % on 1st day of next season.

Not true, Dev's have even said they have new content they're working on. We also know more tools and armour will be available from the racks and crafting stations before the last update. We have along ways to go still.

I say the warehouse because a container would be easier for them to implement than a building redesign and job list additions to the farmers to collect and store it. they grab it from the warehouse anyway, so just giving the warehouse worker another bin would fit without any work besides coding the compost bin, storage allowances, composting times and ratios.

Strange. I believe all the time that compost is a fiber, because farm have a storage to that resource. Thanks a lot!

Maybe a farm add-on? You shuldnt keep compost in your warehouse for sanitary reasons :)

Farm has a storage for Fibers because you can cultivate Flax which yields Fiber.

+1 to this. Would be great to have someone pick up all the spoiled food and turn it to compost in its own building.
Maybe it could be an addon building for the farm.

Fishing hut is the best way "hands down" for the Compost for your farms just let them fist they use theyr own fist to make baits and all the fish just rots there while farmest pick it up as compost. Its not as it should be but it works
