Tips on the Bear from someone who sucks at combat in games.

I play from the couch, on wireless keyboard/mouse, and play on my TV.
I'm terrible at fast paced combat. I cannot play dark souls without cheats. I suck, basically.

I only died to the bear the first time. After I reloaded the save, I beat him. Even with the laggy nature of things (I guess because this is server based singleplayer?)

The Fenrir though, I had no chance. His mid-air redirect leap and the laggy mechanics of combat in this game made it impossible for me to dodge roll away from Fenrir. I can handle it with the bear, but not Fenrir.

I would do my best to keep the bear aggro on me and just let the villagers beat on it while it charged at me. I was just dodge rolling around and hitting it to get it's attention if it turned away.

For my first invasion though, I had to use a trainer to turn on one hit kills, I dunno how anyone is expected to survive that with 3 guys with bows, and no armor. It's really game breaking in my opinion to have these hard wipe timers built into games. I much prefer the tough bosses be in their tough boss area and as long as you aren't provoking them, you're fine.

Hoard mode waves only make sense to me when you TRIGGER them somehow, and it's something you have the ability to avoid, even if avoiding it is really hard.
