Im about to start getting PTSD from the thing going off every 5 minutes it seems lol
Just today successfully complete first year survival solo. No vilagers at all.
Fishing + mushroom gathering + cave crawlers meat hunting + flax gathering.
- Killed water stone boss on third day;
- build barracks on day 6;
- crafted linen cloth armor on day 12;
- created one handed iron axe on day 16
- killed bear on day 17
Basically adding villagers makes your game easier if you know how to organise their work time.
If you have more than 20 villagers you definitely need pay close attention to combat and defence options.
More vilagers = more enemies spawn on each blood moon and incursions.
Food, sticks, coal, stones, even iron...
However, I want to build a nice village.. no point without villagers. U want to make ut pretty, and place buildings in a sensible manner. Not really possible when you have to hurry up gettung stuff buildt.
It is not that I cant fight, In my first game through winter, I survived everything and lost noone.. but the place was a mess, and I just felt stressed out.
I would like the mobs to remain around the spawners ( with a not too big aggrofield), and I can go get them when I feel like it. My village left in peace.
