i will check if i have any gaps in my defense
but do they eat cooked meals also?
However what you should do first is get gatherers going, then hunters, the more the better, I have 3 with 2 hunters in each, 1 morning and 1 evening shift each cabin. Have a warehouse that has meat hunk ranks I have 5 and can hold 50 meat hunks (4 meat per). Then build upto 4 farms with 3 plots each, and have them make a plot for berries, a plot for fibers and 2 plots for cabbage, carrots, onions, garlic and beetroot. Then build a fisherman's hut, and make sure you have raw meat available for bait, add fish racks into the warehouse, I have 7 fish racks that hold 20 fish each (1 meat per.) Make sure you have rainwater catchers everywhere around your village, and wells if possible, and 4 cooking stations. Once you have that setup (my current setup) you will never have a hungry or thirsty villager, and can support 100 villagers and yourself. Just remember to keep the rakes, arrows, fishing rods, skinning knives, and bows stocked at all times.
They are pests so they will try everything, from seeds, food to iron ore. Keep them away with the stone standing torch's.
wow that's a crazy setup you have, i run 3 farms 1 hunter hut (ive plenty of meat for my dogs) and 1 gathering hut. this seems to be enough for 30 villagers except for in winter so i like to stock up some food.
isn't decay supposed to be cancelled in warehouse? i have 2 meat racks full from last winter and they don't decay.
P.S. i will add some stone torch to keep em away
Meat racks and fish racks stop decay yes, but raw and cooked food storage doesn't, it just slows it down.
Stone torches and campfires keep pests away, fences however are bugged, I have read a few people found rabbits can just get through the gate even whilst it's closed, I thought nah it must have run in when a villager entered, Then I saw one actually run through my gate, stop hind legged and gawked at me, I moved towards it and it ran back through the closed gate.
Best bet is fire, Campfire is more costly in fuel but has the added bonus of not being turned off by the bloody builders. Also you have to keep them all fuelled yourself.
and if the decay doenst stop but slows down that could also explain the issue.
i just found out coal is the better fuel and you can bring a lot of it with you!
lets see how my 3rd invasion will go.
