Beginner's Queston - How Do I Heal?
I just started playing, and after about two days or so, I had an encounter with three wights. I killed them, but lost ~95% of my health. How do I heal myself? I know I can sleep, but that heals only a little bit.

Eat garlic and onions.

You can build a healer hut. If you lay down there with the fire lit you will heal quicker. If you assign a worker there you can get him to heal you much quicker.

If he's on day 2, as a new player, he might have a hut and fire built. The healer hut isn't going to come into play until he's died several times at this rate.

Thank you all for the answers. So it seems that in the very early game, you just can't heal properly.

Extremely early in game your options are garlic, onion, and/or sleeping. It doesn't take too long to get the fire up enough to get a barbeque on it and cooking the onion can also be very useful (garlic wont roast on a barbeque sadly). The healing effects can also stack and will tick for a few seconds so you could swallow a few whole raw onions and garlic and go take a nap for the fastest recovery that early.

As you get farther, you get more options like the ability to make meals (some of which also heal) or the healing hut. Healing hut is one you will want to get up pretty early if you can, even without a villager assigned to it you heal a whole lot faster when resting there than you do a regular bed (as long as you light the fire).
