Fish/meat chunks

How can you get a npc to cut the fish and meat chunks into meat to use for the cooking building they dont seem to be doing that only way i noticed is using a barbaque but i dont want to cook the meat that way

give your cook a knife

yeah i always have a knife in the tool rack for my hunter so i wonder why the cook dont get the fish and meat chunks.. ill try giving the knife directly to the cook and see if it fixed it thanks

Sometimes the villagers do not pick up needed tools seems. My workshop worker always ask for an axe, which he build himself and is aviable in the tool rack.
