villagers hoard food limit what the can take
i see several complaints about this, just put a limit on how much food they can have in their inventory. and add a compost bin to the farm house to make food rot for farming.

Villagers still hoard food, we're actively looking into this.

Its not just food though...my hunters completely fill their inventory with arrows and thus sometimes leave small meat, bones and leather fragments because they have no space to pick those up.
Also my warehouse villager hoards tools and other stuff in his inventory, which are then not available for the settlement...especially bad when you just start making iron tools and they cannot be used because of that.

Yeah, the villager I have set to maintain the campfire and cook all of the food only cooks when I place the food on it, even though there are cooking tasks and when they are cooked they yell that the food is done then takes it all and sits down. Thanks for the hobo villager lol

I think limits on all items should be set for villager's, and food should only be what they need at that time, and put the rest back. As for arrows, I think the stack should be increase in their inventory to 100 in the arrow slot and no more, tools should be 1 extra of their job type and any others should be put back into storage. We certainly need a compost bin, that was a huge oversight when added compost needs for the farms.

Also the weather pattern needs looking at, for me it rains everyday through spring, summer and autumn, meaning I have to constantly repair all my structures, including ones that should be resistant to rain, like totems and shelters, since totem is basically a wood pool polished up, and shelters are basically a bark canopy and if rain could damage bark so easily, why are all the tree's still in the game? Wouldn't they all degrade from all this rain? Plus the repair cost is getting stupid, I manage to repair half of the buildings with myself and 3 builders, 4 woodcutters, a stone cutter, 2 workshops with 4 workers each, not to mention the flax farm and gatherers getting fibers, that is half my buildings with all this before the next day when another storm hits and bam, once again, all those buildings need repairs and more on top. At this point I'm more scared of storms ruining my village than the invasions and blood moons and wulfgar attacks, I have 50 villagers now, all busy bee's constantly trying to stay ahead of the repairs and create defences and equipment for the invasions.

Also I think we need individual tasks for people on production buildings, for instance, I would like to set one guy to make metalwork only, while another makes arrows and tools, and another makes armour, and another does the carpentry. Instead of a long list of tasks the whole group has to make but get stuck on say tools because they're near the top of the list and workers, warehouse workers and myself keep taking them out.

We still need a fire tenders job, added as secondary to every villager, so they constantly maintain the fires and lights that are in use, which brings me to timers of said lights and campfires, so we can set when they are turned on and maintained. Like the cooking station just leaves the fire going when he goes to bed, or the healing hut just constantly runs until it's out of fuel and then the healer just sits there, that should be able to set to constantly on in winter and off the rest of the time unless someone needs healing where it's turned on until they're healed.

I already mentioned in another thread but we also need a flashing red ping on "emergency" locations, like when someone or something is being attacked, oe are dying from starvation/dehydration. where are they? "headless chicken mode."
