storing ropes
I built a warehouse for storing ropes so that the builders could take the ropes. but the warehouse worker began to take the ropes from craftsman house and carry them to the warehouse. what to do?

That's just the way it works here. Warehouse storage has priority and your villagers will go there to collect stuff they need for crafting.
We really need some more settings for the storage though, in my case they filled the small storage in the warehouse with mostly resin and small stones, which I really do not need there.

you can set alot of stuff in the warehouse. Go to the Container and you can set what they should put inside. You can set which Villager has access to storages.

I really did not see that Tasks exists for warehouse storages :D Thanks for the hint!
Unfortunately that does not seem to work correctly though, as I just set the prio to "none" for stones and resin, took out all resin and put it into the woodcutters storage...just to see a few minutes later that all the resin was back in. I repeated that to be sure, with the same outcome...Will check if reloading or restarting helps them get the correct setting, but I doubt it.

Warehouse mechanics was what made me quit the game for now.

You set up a workshop to create tools, tell it to create until it has 2 of every tool. This works fine until you make a warehouse to actually store all of it. Once something is moved into the warehouse, it doesn't count towards the "until you have 2" number, which means your workshop villager will keep making tools until the warehouse is filled up, and also won't fill it up evenly so you might, for example, end up filling your warehouse up with hammers only even if you set to workshop to only maintain 2 hammers. And I haven't found any way to set limits on the warehouse or warehouse storage itself.

Exactly this has to be the most annoying aspect to be fair. Wish it had a system similar to Rimworld where one can choose between counting equipped or stored items amongst the "do until you have X" of said item.

The only way I know of to "limit" this is to set the Tool storages to just a specific tool - which is insanely tedious due to the vast amount of tools available - and then fill it up with some random items up to the limit you want, i.e. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tools. Wish you for instance, could click the empty slots in storage containers to change it to an X or something to tell the villagers not to fill up that slot.

Wish the option to select what items to prioritise/exclude were a matrix with the options instead of this long long list, or at least able to copy paste said settings, because right now it is +100 clicks to change all + move down the list, also wish you could set the options before you assigned villagers to the warehous.
