How about things just dont run out and your village can actually sustain itself?
This is the only reason I am not in game right now enjoying myself. It is Bellwright all over again.
Thats a bummer. Thanks for the reply! I will wait for a patch then..
Technically, you can get renewable jotun blood from the wights, skeletons, and draugr either during blood moons or at the boss locations but it is not a reliable source as they don’t always drop it. Same with metal scraps.
It’s wood and stone that will be the major issue but I thought trees regrew a few years… young firs became firs and some of the un targetable landscape flora became young fir trees… could have sworn there were young firs popping in areas where they weren’t already. And stone should be infinite in caves…
Was actually interested in that game as well… they have finite resources?
They recently introduced the ability to replant trees that will mature over time but to my knowledge stone and ores are currently finite in Bellwright
Either people run into a hard wall because resources are strictly gone or the player will have to keep establishing (sometimes involving micromanagement) new sources via outpost or trading.
In my opinion this goes against the idea of a village that will sustain and run itself once things are set up propperly.
Normal trees do regrow eventually, but slowly. You just need to make sure you aren't harvesting the saplings that spawn in spring/summer for sticks, they eventually grow into Young Firs and so on if left alone.
Only thing that doesn't seem to have a renewable source is Hardwood, as I haven't seen any Birch saplings anywhere, just Fir, and the Birch also don't seem to have a Young stage. Also, possibly Thatch, since I have never seen any of that respawn, though others have, so idk if my game's just bugged.
They also made T3 miners being able to mine depleted ore spots now, that was one of the latest preview branch updates...haven't tried it though, not that far yet.
Thank you for letting me know, I need to check that out.
