That bear

Saw a streamer play the game for the first time. Bear comes, wtf? Streamer is dodging easy and poke the bear till it leaves. fact is : git gud.

I did that the first time I ever saw the bear but in all fairness I had a lot of combat practice because I settled near a wulfgar den and had been fighting them for 20 days keeping them away from village.

Wulfgar den. Easy food. Bear. Your not wrong. Wait, Dodge, hit once or twice and back off. Rinse and repeat. Drag him from your village first to make sure no npc thinks they are Thor and gets themselves killed.

All enemies have a pattern of attack. P.s. The shields are a wonderful equalizer.

Yes. After I got where I could kill the wulfgar easily even when multiple engaged me, food was not a problem. Built a cookery and just kept meat soup stocked for the villagers, still have about a dozen carcasses I haven’t skinned yet outside the village because the warriors have skilled up enough to kill the ones attacking the wall.

You can solo it with a bow hitting in the head causes stun lock no need to dodge are just sit on a rock and hit it with a skinning knife or place two fence and just keep hoping over...... the bear will try and run around the fence..... But then winter comes and you must really git gud!

Does it make a difference where you hit the bear? I haven't noticed that yet. I really need to skill the bow, even though I don't think the mechanics are that great.
