Roadmaking tool

Has anyone figured out how to actually use this thing? I can't find roads anywhere in the build menu and the tool does nothing when you hit the ground with it.

Either it doesn't work or I'm missing something, so anyone know what's up?

You have to flatten the ground with a hoe first. Then you go over it again with the road tool and it turns it to stone.

a warning, do not use the flatten tool from build menu, you will create canyons if the ground is too uneven, use the hoe as is to flatten the terrain to create roads on small hills

So to clarify: it only works on leveled terrain?

Yep you need to hoe the ground first!

Ok. I'll give that a shot next time. Sounds like a ton of work though.

After 50 plus days in the game, I just recently realized you can use the hoe as a tool to shape and smooth out slopes manually. You don't have to build the flatten terrain tiles to use it.
