Walling in the portal itself never occurred to me, but it would be interesting to see if that works as well!
I'm not a fan of hardcore games and really want to play a peaceful and relaxed game, so any advice on how to defend myself as easily as possible would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Lol, Im playing solo and also tried to bring the battle to the portal. I built 3 hedge towers and 2 waatchtowers and some walls, all manned, plus a couple of fires for the cold. The day finally comes and me and my villagers spent all night patrolling and nothing, then as soon as the villagers go to sleep (they were on night shift) the damn invasion began. Luckily I survived but just barely. Since every attack was at night I figured this too was going to be at night lol. Are the time of attack for invasion random or always during the day?
1 barracks 3 warriors
1 archery 3 archers + 1 hunter archer
3 watchtowers for archers
2 dogs in my party
i built walls around my town which also helps against bloodmoon.
also i added some loose walls to put in front of my main wall. turns out the enemy likes to attack those 'loose' walls so that gives your archers time to shoot.
If you put a campfire next to the watchtower your archers will stay warm and can stay there for a long time. ;)
i mainly stayed inside my walls cause i didn't have any armor and i didn't want my dogs to die and i had to run around to keep the campfires going. (this is a very important part cause villagers don't keep the fires going.)
also i gave all my archers 40+ arrows cause they only had a few arrows on them..
It was easy for me, 1-2mins and done, no casualties
So How did it go? LOL
What strategies did you use?
