Trying to produce tools at the workshop hut. Have 2 workers assigned. They run around looking for stuff then return with nothing and nothing is getting produced

Have you tried interacting with them and seeing what they are saying they are missing?

It sounds like you either have a supply and demand issue or they need something that is not being manufactured yet.

They have all supplies they require for producing items in the que. They just dont do it. Am I missing something? Do you have to manually place the supplies in the structure? Wouldnt that defeat the point of having someone else do it for you? They place like 3 bark in the bin then just do nothing
Are you sure nothing is being produced? The workshop has a built-in tool rack that they put the stuff into, need to look up a bit on the wall opposite the bench. If you set them to build one axe, for example, they'll make one axe and put it there, then make another if someone takes it.

Having an extra weapon/tool storage in a warehouse is actually a *bad* idea currently imo, because if you have a warehouse worker they'll go and take all of those tools out of the workshop to store there, and the workshop will keep making more to replace those because it only looks at its own internal inventory, so you'll end up with like 40 crappy stone axes with no easy way to get rid of them.

I have the same problem. The materials are all there. When talking to an NPC, the reasons preventing production are not specified. I tried restarting the game and assigning new workers to this place, but it doesn't help. All that remains is to try the option of dismantling the workshop and building a new one, but I really would not like that. Perhaps this problem appeared after the appointment of the second NPC. When one worker worked in the workshop, everything was fine.

I'm having the same issue in my latest game. I have one worker in the weaver/leather workshop. I tell them to craft a full set of clothing but despite having 1000 fibre in the warehouse they do nothing of the sort anymore (I tried to force them to craft the linen and ropes but they don't ever do that). Same for both day/night carpenter/smithy guys. Full bloom + coal + sticks + all mats they need in the warehouse (warehouse is free access to all) but they just sit around, get up every couple of seconds and sit down again.

It did work the first seasons but I saw that nothing was done anymore around the second autumn when my farmers startet complaining about missing rakes. Dismissing and assigning other villagers does not help. Neither does restarting the game.

Edit: I restarted my computer and reassigned the workers. So far it seems to be working again. Maybe after some time memory troubles occur that a reboot "fixes"?

After the first winter, my workers started dying in the summer while I was focusing on iron production. Hunters didn't find anything I had 5 flags in the field, gatherers didn't find anything 6 markers. I had two workers on the farm. It's hard to progress or prepare for battle in this game because you cannot rely on villagers with a task. You need to check and restock the lights to prevent theft from the pest animals. Check and recheck if workers don't stop for multiple reasons like: broken tools, no seeds, It's keeping the player buzzy with repetitive tasks and this prevents you from progressing.

They same problem, I have every tools need for crafting equipment but two days past I notice nothing being produce , the npc just sit, I thought at first the villagers took the items and wear them but the materials I put in the storage is the same.

The same with the person in the cave, my bloomery person keep complaing no ore to craft so I went to check the storage in cave and nothing there. I went inside the cave and the npc assign is working, hitting the block wall but it doesn't make damage., I waited for 10 minutes if the wall get destroyed and didn't .I destroyed the wall myself and he gathers the ore but in the next wall the same thing happening. I change my worker and it start producing.

It's the same problem. The workers (two in total, one per shift) would just stay there doing nothing while the farmers complained about missing rakes. There are orders and supplies. BUT if I manually moved sticks from a 3-meter-away warehouse to the workshop, the worker would suddenly remember he needed to make rakes and start doing them.
