Achievements:Bug or Telltale?
Just curious, I've got a whole bunch of achievements unlocked, but the worldwide unlock %'s are really low, eg. not a single one above 10%, most are 1-3%.

The weird thing is that they aren't difficult achieves. Stuff like Quenched-Discover water in nature. 3%

Is this a bug or a telltale of just how few people who have bought the game got 5 minutes in and just decided to stop playing? I'm honestly starting to think it's the second because the initial presentation (viking survival/crafting game) is appealing, but the reality is vastly different. The game is more of an Anno style city builder from the 3rd person perspective, replacing effective large scale tools with in person micro management.

The sheer amount of micro honestly stopped me dead in my tracks after initially punching out some wisps and having a look around to grubbing around trying to find the 10 rocks for the sharp blades to start making tools. I've proceeded to the point where I now have tool production up etc but everytime I go away to get Jotun blood or explore, I come back to a village full of exclamation marks (missing stock, areas depleted etc) and then spend all night setting up the micro for the next day.

Having access to tools eg. be it a map where you can designate foraging etc areas, a second in command, fallback roles for your villagers if they happen to hit a wall in their first job, might make the slog a little less daunting. Same with things like bulk area leveling. Let us just walk around and set the 4 corners, or go to a top down view where we can draw the area, rather than the current system of being stuck in place trying to draw a grid.

I'm really trying to like your game but she is making it difficult... =)

Curious about that too, the %'s seem awfully low. I think the game is suppose to be a real slow burn, I'm only like day 22 in, but I've seen posts about days 80+ where day long "invasions" happen, and its non stop combat for your guards or yourself. So yes, I'd say many hours of the game will be resource collecting, building, village/NPC management, and tier progression interrupted with little bits of combat.

How many days are you in? And do you play with anyone else? I only played with one other friend, and a third joined for 7 in game days or so, and its a tremendous amount of help just having one other player. I haven't really had any gripes with the NPC system, I do think a fallback job would be good, if not needed at times to help with micro. However, once you get enough villagers, and get the hang of the task system, markers, storages, etc, it does become pretty well automated.
