any chance of a way to turn them off? Three skeletons and my little shield got busted over and over. Come on man, how can I survive that?

THAT would be nice for us who aint that interested in all the combat, but more in building a city and when we have that running then going to war. think its way to hard atm the game

Fight with axe early on should stun them kite and hit until stun then kill. I used axe and hunting knife. Right click is a decent heavy attack. Dodge roll and kite away from village if you can.

Thanks for the information. Im learning the tactics as I go, like the Valheim crap, when I thought the meadows was tough.

Shields aren't worth it in the beginning to be honest. They break too easily and take alot of resources. You are better off dodge rolling and smacking them with either an axe or a filmsy club. A 2handed club is better if you can get that up and running. It has a wider swing arc and I think the first time you use right click with it semi stuns them? Not fully sure I just know my first right click on a wolf seems to stagger them without the stun bar trigger.
