How's the water in the game?

Can you swim, dive, is there an ocean, can you bild boats, does it react to the weather with waves etc like valheim?

You are on an island, so yes, you are surrounded by ocean/water. You can build a raft right now, or at least I think that's what I read - boats come later. Don't think you can dive and I haven't been near the water during storms.
