The death system is Stupid

How often is that your just getting started then get a raid which impossible to defend against so not only do you have a massive amount of repairs but then you die and your only options are to lose a villager which is a pain if you only have 1 or 2, or take an unspecified hit to your stats and lose all your stuff

The combat can be challenging if you’re not used to having to kite opponents in games. You’ll get better the more you practice with the roll mechanic. The last raid I had was 1 skeleton archer, skeleton shield dude, and 5 revenants. I was able to kill most everyone without getting hit(the archer got a lucky shot in before I bum rushed him lol) by myself. A good way to practice is with the wisps along the coast. They don’t do a lot of damage and you can practice dodging attacks and effectively utilizing your stamina

Yeah none of that changes the stupid penalties for dying

Agree to disagree on this one I guess. I like that dying actually has a penalty unlike most games

Most the games i play have a penalty but making a grindy starting game even more of a grind isn't fun
